About the Welsh BS
The Welsh BS is one of the 10 Area Societies , all of which are Affiliated to the Budgerigar Society, the Parent body.
The Welsh BS covers most of Wales except for the North Wales Area, but we do have members from that Area plus other Area Societies.
We support the work of the Budgerigar Society, but at a local level.
Although probably the 3rd smallest of the 10 Area Societies, in member numbers, we pride ourselves in welcoming all new members, and can put you in touch with members close to you, where help and advice is freely given.
Non members are welcome at all our meetings and shows, (see elsewhere on the website for details and dates), but at the AGM you cannot vote until becoming a member.

Rates can be found on the Subscription page on this website. Subs run from 1st January to 31st December each year.
On joining the Welsh BS you will be given a unique Welsh number and a ring form, which is returned to the main office of the Budgerigar Society to obtain rings. Do not purchase rings any where else other than the Area Society or direct from the Budgerigar Society, as they will not be recognised at the shows.
